Pioneer of ABM research in the social sciences and one of the most influential and cited scholars in computational social science, Prof. Joshua Epstein (New York University) will join the faculty of the BEHAVE Summer School 2019 to give a talk on new frontiers of Agent-Based Modelling. Prof. Epstein leads the Agent-Based Modeling Lab at the New York State University, where he is exploring path-breaking developments in what he called “generative social science”, an interdisciplinary venture combining the best of computer science and social science approaches to simulate and understand complex, large-scale collective phenomena, such as disease transmissions, epidemics and other health-related social phenomena.
Here his last book: “Agent_Zero. Toward Neurocognitive Foundations for Generative Social Science”.
